The Story Behind Lena Lazuli
How gemstones helped me return to myself.
It began the day I walked into a large crystal store in Brisbane as a complete skeptic.
At the time, my nervous system was exhausted. I felt disconnected from myself, emotionally overwhelmed, and constantly searching for answers outside of myself. I wasn't looking for spirituality. I wasn't looking for "healing crystals." In fact, I doubted most of it.
But the moment I entered that space, something happened that I still struggle to fully explain logically.
It wasn't a thunderclap. It was a quiet, undeniable shift — a softening, a pull, a sense that I had walked into something alive.
I left that day with a few stones I felt strangely drawn to — not because I believed in them, but because I couldn't stop thinking about them. I began keeping them near me. Holding them when I felt anxious. Sleeping with them beside me. Wearing them through difficult seasons.
Slowly, something began to change. Not in a dramatic way — but in a grounded, honest way. I felt more like myself. More embodied. More steady. More tender. More awake to my own life.
The stones didn't fix me. They reminded me of something I had forgotten: that I was allowed to feel, to soften, to come home to my body.
And unexpectedly, they awakened something else too:
- My fire.
- My creativity.
- My desire to make beautiful things again.
Creating jewellery became more than design. It became therapy. Expression. Grounding. A way to channel emotion into something tangible and meaningful. Piece by piece, I began creating the kind of jewellery I couldn't find anywhere else — emotionally rich, grounding, feminine, oceanic, earthy, imperfect, alive.
Lena Lazuli was born from that experience.
